Cell banking
We proudly offer our Cell Banking Service for your valuable human or animal cells, sourced from either patient tissues, healthy individuals, or well-established cell lines. Our commitment is to gently freeze your cells, preserving them at an ultra-low temperature in liquid nitrogen (-190°C).
Additionally, we provide the option to expand the cells to fuel your research, whenever you need it.
Depositing frozen cells serves as an ideal contingency plan in case of issues in your cell culture, be it contamination or genetic alterations during extended passages. It also offers a cost-effective alternative to ongoing cell culture. Upon request, we can establish the identity of your cells through genetic fingerprinting (STR analysis), allowing you to identify them at any time. Moreover, we conduct pre-freezing analysis for potential contaminations, especially mycoplasma, and can perform antibiotic treatment to rid the cells of mycoplasma if necessary.

Requirements:
- Cells must be tested for the absence of mycoplasma (this service can be arranged through CLS) and have a Biosafety level of 2 or below.
